Keeping with the trend it is expected that least 2.5lac to 3lac candidates would obtain the perfect score of 10 CGPA this year.

Note: The CGPA is the average of respective GPAs obtained in the Five main subjects - Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language 1 ( English ) and Language 2.

The GPA obtained can be converted to percentages simply by multiplying 9.5 to the GPA obtained, ie. GPA * 9.5 = "Percentage score obtained".

Digitised results:

This year also, like the previous two years CBSE will provide Digital Marksheets for the class 10 exam results in Digilocker at digilocker.gov.in.

New Assessment Scheme:

The New assessment scheme was introduced by the CBSE in place of the Dual Evaluation system, by which school-based 10th examinations were removed and all 10th students write a common board exam conducted by CBSE. Now marks are awarded on a 4:1 ratio by the Board and the school respectively,ie. the board exam is held for a total of 80 marks (for all subjects) and the school awards an internal mark out of 20. The sum total of the external and internal marks determines the GPA.

The board has given a one-time-relaxation to the students of the current batch in passing marks, the pass mark criteria has been kept at overall 33 percent, ie a sum total of both the external and internal marks. Students need not secure 33 percent separately in board exams and internal assessments.
