Cambridge Pathway

Cambridge Pathway is for students aged 5 to 19. It has a wide range of subjects and flexibility that gives schools the chance to shape the curriculum to make it exciting and relevant for their students.
There are four stages-Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge Upper Secondary and Cambridge Advanced. Each stage builds the students development from the previous stage, but is also be offered separately. It aims to provide a strong foundation for students at the beginning of their schooling before progressing through the Cambridge Pathway in an age-appropriate way. Many schools offer Cambridge Pathway alongside their national curriculum, or as part of a bilingual programme.

Cambridge Lower Secondary is typically for learners aged 11 to 14 years.

Cambridge Upper Secondary
Cambridge Upper Secondary is typically for learners aged 14 to 16 years. It builds on the foundations of Cambridge Lower Secondary, although learners do not need to complete that stage before this one. Here they offer learners two routes: Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge O Level.

    Cambridge IGCSE offers 70 subjects that can be chosen in any combination. They are broadly clubbed into six of the following groups-
  • Group I: Languages
  • Group II: Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Group III: Sciences
  • Group IV: Mathematics
  • Group V: Creative and Professionals.
  • Group VI: English Language and Literature
  1. Cambridge O Levels
    Cambridge O Level is an internationally recognised qualification equivalent to Cambridge IGCSE and the UK GCSE. It offers 40 subjects which can be chosen in any combination. They are broadly clubbed into six of the following groups-
  • Group I: Languages
  • Group II: Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Group III: Sciences
  • Group IV: Mathematics
  • Group V: Creative and Professionals.
  • Group VI: English Language and Literature

Cambridge Advanced
Cambridge Advanced is typically for learners aged 16 to 19 years who need advanced study to prepare for university and higher education. It offers learners two routes: Cambridge International AS & A Level, and Cambridge Pre-U.

  1. Cambridge AS & A Level
    They offer a choice of 55 subjects and schools can offer them in almost any combination. Cambridge International A Level is typically a two-year course, and Cambridge International AS Level is typically one year. Some subjects can be started as a Cambridge International AS Level and extended to a Cambridge International A Level. They are broadly clubbed into six of the following groups-
  • Group I: Languages
  • Group II: Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Group III: Sciences
  • Group IV: Mathematics
  • Group V: Creative and Professionals.

  1. Cambridge Pre-U
    Cambridge Pre-U is available in 24 Principal Subjects. Each Principal Subject is a two-year programme of study with exams at the end. Short Courses (typically one-year programmes) are also available in some subjects.They are broadly clubbed into FIVE of the following groups-
